This article shows you how to setup Microsoft Outlook 2007 to work with your Web Wiz email account using a Secure SSL Connection. It focuses on Microsoft Outlook 2007 but these settings are familiar with other versions of Outlook.
1. In Microsoft Outlook, from the Tools menu, select Account Settings…
2. Under Account Settings choose the E-mail tab and click on New…

3. On the Auto Account Setup window select Manually configure server settings or additional server type and
4. Click Next

5. For the E-mail Service select Internet E-mail and then click Next

6. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information as follows:
- Your Name
- Your first and last name
- E-mail Address
- Your email address
- User Name
- Your email address, again
- Account Type
- Select POP3 from the drop down
- Incoming mail server
- mail.websitelive.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
- mail.websitelive.net
- Password
- Your email account password
Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
Check this box
Once you have filled in all the filed’s, click More Settings…

7. On the Internet E-mail Settings go to the Outgoing Server tab
8. Select My outgoing (SMTP) requires authentication and leave the default option of Use same settings as my incoming mail server

9. Go to the Advanced tab, and enter the information below:
- Incoming server (POP3)
- 995
- This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
- Check this box
- Outgoing server (SMTP)
- 465
- Use the following type of encrypted connection
- Select SSL from the drop down
Once you have completed the filed’s, click OK

10. Back on the Internet E-mail Settings window click Next

11. Click Finish

Please note: If you have problems connecting with the above settings it may be that your ISP block the ports required for Secure SSL Email Connections, in which case you will need to use the standard unencrypted settings which can be found on the page Configuring POP3 Email in Microsoft Outlook.
